Students can keep important assignments that are in progress or completed by doing using any of the following techniques:

  • Composing them in a location like Google docs where they can be worked on and retrieved from anywhere Internet access is available. This means you never "forget" the assignment at home and have it readily available.
  • Keeping a back-up copy on a media stick such as a flash drive or other portable memory device.
  • Routinely running back-ups of the hard drive. Programs such as GoodSynch can run while you sleep.
  • Send a copy to another email account that can be accessed from anywhere via the Internet. This includes hotmail, yahoo, gmail, or a campus account.
